Ice-cold challenges?
No Problem for Our Powerlift!
Some like it hot, others prefer it ice-cold – and our Powerlift? It masters both! During our visit to EDNA in Zusmarshausen (DE), it quickly became clear: This is not just a storage facility – it's a production hub! EDNA manufactures a vast range of baked goods on-site and supplies over 40,000 customers across Europe with more than 10,000 frozen products. But where fresh baked goods are produced and stored at freezing temperatures, handling can become a real challenge. That’s where our Powerlift comes into play!
A formidable opponent: The cold
Inside the fully automated high-bay warehouse, temperatures drop to a crisp -23°C while freshly produced baked goods await shipment. Robots precisely retrieve the required pallets from the racks and automatically prepare them for order picking. At the adjacent loading dock, our Powerlift steps in. However, the conditions are tricky: Temperature fluctuations cause condensation to form on the packaging, softening the cartons and making them less stable. This significantly complicates the suction process – a real challenge for conventional vacuum systems!
Size doesn’t matter: Handling various package sizes
Customers order a wide variety of products in different packaging sizes, requiring customized order combinations. Complex requirements demand smart, tailor-made solutions – and this is exactly where our Multigripper attachment shines! Six adjacent Multigrippers, equipped with a total of 240 bellows suction cups, ensure a firm grip and allow for lifting an entire pallet layer of cartons. Even when small gaps exist between packages, the suction power remains reliable – and best of all: There’s no need to switch suction attachments.
Ergonomics meets efficiency
Working in freezing conditions places high demands on employees. Our adjustable control handle flexibly adapts to the pallet's loading height, while an additional handgrip makes maneuvering intuitive and comfortable. This ensures that operating our Powerlift remains efficient and effortless – even in temperatures that would usually call for a cup of mulled wine.

Our visit to EDNA confirmed one thing: No challenge is too great – or too cold – for our Powerlift! The combination of intelligent technology, strong suction power, and thoughtful design ensures seamless order picking.
